About Our AI Integration Work
We design and develop methods to facilitate natural language interactions with public health dashboards and datasets. We have two demonstration projects that illustrate this concept.
Our BRFSS Survey Analyzer tool allows users to use natural language to interact with the Alaska BRFSS dataset, and returns results identical to the estimates reported on the Alaska BRFSS Data Center website.
The Alaska HealthQuery tool allows natural language questions to be posed in one central location to find results from any Data Hub dashboard - providing quick access to any Alaska Public Health data set available through the Data Hub.
While currently implemented to access just two of these dashboards for solutions and answers to a user's data question (Mortality dashboard, and BRFSS dashboard), the potential power of this approach with an expanded set of dashboards for a user to quickly find public health data results is readily apparent.
